Air resources are utilized when ever the leadership on a task deems needed. This may mean a helicopter is chartered by CCSAR to receive transport to the search or rescue area. Specialized training for working with, in or around an aircraft is apart of all Land Search and Members training, including specialized Hover Exit training.
CCSAR additionally works in tandem on tasks with PEP Air – Provincial Emergency Program – Air division. CCSAR provides spotters, and navigators to pilots in private or commercial airplanes to search for missing or overdue persons and/or aircraft.
