A division of CCSAR special teams is Swift Water Rescue. CCSAR members are certified as Technician I (SRT I) Swift Water Rescue. This training includes 3 days filled with knowledge, safety, and technical skills development. Our team practiced skills including anchor/pulley systems, strainer drills, tethered swims, throwbagging, and rescue swimming. Our members have to complete both the Swift Water Rescue Technician I course every 3 years and maintain their certification through 20+ hours of in-water training each year
To assist in tasks, CCSAR members are certified to safely operate our jet boat on lakes and rivers.
